Askids Foundation works with the underserved population of Baltimore City and surrounding areas. Baltimore struggles with high rates of violent crime, a struggling public school system, and a large share of single-parent households. The inner city of Baltimore, Maryland ranks as one of the nations poorest cities with more than 30% childhood poverty. These neighborhoods are home to more than 70,000 children and their families with big dreams and the potential to achieve them. However, decades of disinvestment and redlining have created unfair barriers of access for these families.
Askids Foundation works to remove these barriers and even the playing field for children. Our programs do not have any selection criteria for students all children are invited to participate. Our personalized model of academic, social-emotional, and basic needs supports help children to graduate from high school ready to succeed in college, career, and life.
